Let me guess you opened up the bonnet and saw it had a remap aswell. Sounds like she wants the mods more than the car. If it was me I'd look for the best looked after car I could find and then look to have the remap done.

I asked our local DVLA (DVS) and they basically said "Fo"

Can't she just buy another one and WELL MODIFY it (blud)?

Custom induction kit and remap? Is that it? Tell her to buy a new one and just do the same thing if she's that fussed, she's being an idiot.

If its a highly modified car wouldnt the relevant forums be a good shout?
