Thread: Is there a podcast that trains you AS you run?

Started 3 weeks, 5 days ago by MRR2008
I am running my first half-marathon in 3 weeks. I plan on creating a playlist, but I have also thought about possibly listening to a trainer or something to keep me motivated. I have never used a podcast before. Do any of you have any recommendations? Thanks!

Becca-glad to see you back. Manni-I am sure it will all work out so that you can get your desired workouts in. Good job keeping your weight the same through all of this. I am going to a spin class tonight. I finally bought bike shoes so hopefully I do not look like an idiot trying to figure out how to clip into the bike. BBL with my numbers.

Thought I'd get us going this morning since I have a question for all of you...has anyone with the black bodybugg ever worn it on the right arm? I know we are supposed to wear it on the left arm, but I've developed an indent on my left arm and thought I'd put it on the right arm for a while. I've been having high burn days, but I've been busier than my...

I was thinking about getting a digital food scale and a digital scale to weigh myself. Is the digital food scale necessary? Does anyone use them a lot and see that it really helps you track points easier? Also which scales do you guys have? Are any better or worse than the others? $40.00 for the weightwatchers food scale seems like a lot.

We continue a daily thread for anyone who wants to join in...basically we are motivated to MOVE and EXERCISE if we're accountable to someone! It is important to remember that exercise can really help expedite weight loss and rev up the metabolism! And truthfully, it is something that we all need to do to be healthy, fit and toned.

Good morning, I'm rushing off to pro-d so must be quick. Ringette was fun yesterday. Sweaty but good for me and I enjoyed myself so all is well there. I went to my classroom and did a lot of set up as well. I was only there 4 hours, but I rearranged furniture to a hopefully workable format (still need another table for guided reading) and unpacked...

I recommend the Tanita Ironman scales. They are extremely acurate despite what others may thing - they are not cheap though. Last year I ran and Ironman and had my Dr do a BF measurement and BMI -- it matched within 1% what the scale rated me at. http://www.thecompetitiveedge.com/shop/item/123-pr oductId.184549706_123-catId.176160841_123-xsltpara m-page....

Specialized bicycle dealers will have a saddle measurement system for the Body Fit geometry - very good - very comfortable! I logged over 1000 miles last year training for an ironman - its worth it!

Hi Everyone, I thought I posted earlier, but I guess I didn't. It's just been that kind of a day. I worked til 2pm then went to the gym. I did my 2nd day of the C25K. It went well, actually at this point it is pretty easy for me since I usually do more than what they ask for. I am going to follow the program anyway to see how it goes. I did about 15 min after to get my whole wo in. So far a better eating day for me, yesterday I ate...

I misplaced my Daytimer and I am so unfocused. And I was awake much of the night fretting about my visa. Then there's the usual pressure to get the grading and quarter grades done and sub plans for my late return after the holiday (hope I am still going). I am a bit out of sorts today. We had a meeting after school that I hadn't anticipated, but it went pretty well. It was a child study team and we ran it so we did what we needed to...

I just got an email with the subject line "Only 15 Days until Christmas," and I am worried. There is so much to do, and I haven't even started the baking, decorating, and shopping. The tree isn't up, and I don't have much holiday spirit yet. I'm sending DH out today to get DS's Santa gift. I've got a project to do for a client, but I just can't seem to focus--yet when it is over I can...

Omg I totally agree about BL! Rebecca's outfit was a bit distasteful and I did not like her new hair!! I agree Tracey looked too thin- she looked much better in the marathon footage. Antoine (the guy who proposed- I think that is his name) looked awesome! He got so muscular. I do have to say Tracey's arms looked amazing. I like to look at their arms- I know it sounds weird b/c I really want to focus on firming mine up but have such...

Good for you keeping the focus where YOU wanted it! Gail...I did the door slamming, foot stomping and CURSING...REALLY BAD WORDS...the other day...
