I didn't think so at first but now I have about five pages of material and lots of room to continue. Think I'll finish it? The plot is a group of thinking pots and pans try to escape a 4 star restaurant kitchen where they get, "abused," on the daily bases. They are burnt, battered, beat, I mean you almost feel sorry for the pots and pans. yes I know this stupid, but its just trying to get as much...
in the novel 'the mandarin' by aaron kunin many supposedly inanimate objects are characters: ashtray, tv, broom, couch, etc.
characters can be anything, but if you want to see how others have handled the situation, check that book out.
It's very original. I like originality. So maybe I'll like your story.

You can practically write a story about anything these days. Believe me. Pots and pans are probably the least of publisher's worries.
Pots and Pans are sane compared to the rest of the rubbish some people are writing about these days.
That sounds a lot more interesting and original than any of the scenarios/samples I've read that people have posted on here.
I'd definitely give it a shot.
I cannot for the life of me remember where I read this anecdote--but it was by a famous author who was teaching at the Iowa Writers Workshop, and he tells the story of a student who brought a short story to class written from the POV of a fork. This author wasn't so much impressed...and was surprised that only one other student in the class felt the same.

Have you ever heard of that movie called Brave Little Toaster? (Something like that.) It's about a toaster and a lamp and household items. And there's even a movie of them going to Mars. My point is, if a little toaster and a lamp and blanket can go to Mars, why can't your pots and pans have a story too?
