I LOVE dough! Cookie dough, pierogie dough, bread dough, I love it. I always have a few nibbles when I'm cooking anything with dough. I've been thinking though, maybe I'll just whip up some dough real quick and just eat it straight. Is that bad? I know it is when there's egg in a recipe, but obviously if it's vegan there isn't any. I'm sure it's far from healthy, but is it bad?
Thanks so ...
I love cookie dough too. Sampling dough at various stages of production is probably my favorite part of baking, even rivaling the consumption of the finished product.
I think that the main risk with egg containing doughs is Salmonella, but without the eggs that problem goes away. Although it never stopped me before I went vegan...
You said the magic word! (pierogie) My maternal grandmother is from Poland, so pierogies are near and dear to my heart. I can't wait til Christmas eve. It's the one pescetarian holiday in my family so if I avoid the fish, the meal is fair-game for a vegetarian like me. (=
I like most baked goods in their prebaked form far better...lol This was the nicest surprise last week when I made banana bread and was eating the batter. I got a little lightbulb above my head and thought...HEY! No eggs...no guilt...(and no stomach ache) YAY!
I'm like that with cookie dough but don't like raw dough of other types. Not sure why.
Damn it now I want to make a dough batch of cookies and avoid the oven. CURSE YOU AQUA SCUM!
