If i'm not mistaken the contract states that the company can sub contract 27 percent of their volume. When I read this before ratification,I commented that this will become a big issue....like Rush says "I was right" Karen K

Where does it say that? You must have a different contract than mine... The company can not contract if one person is laid off and there are...

You have to realize that the teamsters is no longer a freight union. They've moved on. Last teamster magazine, no mention of freight at all. Go to the teamster website and click on "contact us". There is a drop down menu to select what industry you work in, such as airline, hotel worker and such. Freight or trucking isn't even on the list. So get it through your head, the teamsters union does not...

I don't have a problem with the Union, I have a problem with a management that figures it can save a couple of dollars sending our freight on a contract truck. How does the contract truck do it cheaper? They have drivers who don't make enough money to bath, or do laundry, sleeping for two days in the parking lot without pay, waiting for our load. Then they get a professionally loaded ...

This is a notice to refrain from calling our non-union counterparts the stereotypical name here. Act professional, Be professional and Choose your words wisely. We enjoy both Union and Non-union participation in here and I certainly won't allow a fight fest to break out in here. Thank you....carry on.
