Is Netflix sending stripped down discs?
A bunch of my recent rentals have had no special features--and when I look up the reviews there are plenty listed. I don't see any second disc available for the special features.
Some of the recent titles I remember: Transformers 2, I Love You ...
Yes, this was reported a while back. The studios were planning on selling movies to rental companies like Netflix with no extra features whatsoever.

Fox is making rental only versions for Netflix, Blockbuster, etc.
Transformers 2's bulk of extras are on a second disc, the only extra with the first disc is the audio commentary.

I can confirm that Orphan I rented from Blockbuster is stripped down to only the movie...there is no extras available on the disc to be selected.
The label also indicates that is a "RENTAL".
I'm very disappointed with this issue, since I was looking forward to seeing the alternative ending.
I've also got stripped-down versions of Transformers 2, G.I. Joe, Orphan, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
So is it just Fox, Paramount and WB that are doing this? And do they actually think this is how they are going to be getting more people to buy blu-rays, as opposed to renting them?
