I've checked the status of the exchange near to where I am moving to, and this is what it tells me.
Can anyone translate this into terms which relate to my possible broadband recption now and in the future? I've had a go, but would appreciate any thoughts from forum members.
The exchange....has
ADSL status:
Enabled as of 21/01/2004
ADSL Max status:
Enabled as of 30/03...
You're more or less correct, although these days ADSLMAX (up to 8Mbps) is the standard so it doesn't technically cost more, if anything MAX services cost less . In regards to the last two, 21CN PSTN means your exchange has been upgraded to support BT's latest IP based technology, while WBC hints that you will not be able to get faster than 8Mbps services (e.g. up to 24Mbps via ADSL2+) until ...
