Thread: Intermittent power windows

Started 4 months, 2 weeks ago by wxman
I had periodic problems with the power windows at times just not moving. From the archives this is a common problem with a car that is 22 years old. I replaced all 3 switches and all seemed well. From the sound of it you have an intermittent connection - maybe at the connector inside the fender ? Maybe something's dislodged or dirty ? Try break and remake the connector. If the driver's side door was "open" I could imagine that the passenger side switch would not work either. Mark Petry Bainbridge Island, WA

Where is this connector? I have looked in the wheel well and inside the boot? Maybe I need new glasses. Doug

or any wiring that may have worn through (within the door to car attachment area...not sure how that's handled on your year ). I know that I've a worn area on my 89 in the harness that goes from the door to the body....just from flexing over so many yars. Doyle
