Injury and logic: I had an accident last week, which caused me to break my collar bone have a concussion and do significant external damage. I like your idea of the bracelet! I should wear one too, and I know dozens of people who should too! Your reaction sounds normal. At times of stress the brain will go into survival mode and pain is diminished and judgement is put on the back burner. I work in veterinary medicine, so I don't know much about human reactions to injury. But it's generally accepted that almost all animals will do everything they can to hide an injury or illness. Perhaps in the immediate aftermath of an injury, a more primitive survival mechanism kicks in?

That is very common with a brain injury. Often patients become literally combative and have to be held down by several people or knocked out. My ex husband and I came upon an accident with a car full of teen that had just happen, we were the first people there. The kids were all ok except one which hit the dashboard. She had a head injury and didn't remember what happened, didn't know where ...

You had a concussion, which is a brain injury. Its not surprising you weren't thinking straight. My coworker is a volunteer paramedic, and he has stories like this all the time.
