Hello, I am hoping someone out there can help me. I had a LIS two weeks ago and after the first week I had my regular check-up. A sphincteroplasty is where your sphincter muscle is severed and they sew it back together. The infection was a large, hard area all around that side of the muscle. What's a sphincteronomy?

A sphincteroplasty is where your sphincter muscle is severed and they sew it back together. The infection was a large, hard area all around that side of the muscle. What's a sphincteronomy?
