My son is 7 months old today, he is sleeping great through the night, averaging about 9 hours a night now. Ever since he was 3 weeks old he has been in his own crib- as like most moms i was way to sensitive to his noices and every breath would wake me up!- ever since my first visit to the peds office and she gave me the SIDS speal i have been waking up (at least 5 nights a week, anywhere from 1...
My son wakes up 2-5 times every night. He has never coslept. For probably two months, I would wake up to his cry one time every night and think that he was wrapped in the blanket that I'd balled up under my head. Within moments I was alert and would realize how ridiculous that was. I would like to know if I did/do this more frequently than that, but I sleep by myself in the living room to ...
My son has slept through the night since he was about 2 months old. He started in his crib with my husband and me sleeping in the same room and when I had to go back to work he stayed in his crib downstairs and we moved back to our bedroom upstairs. He'll go to bed at 7:00 and usually wake up around 6:30. Of course we have restless nights every once in a while and I'll go downstairs to give ...
I had a little break with this at whe our LO was about 4.5 - 5 months old, but recently I've been waking up like crazy to check on her.
Last night I woke myself up out of a deep sleep and ran into her room with the worse feeling ever. She was fine...I couldn't get my heart to stop racing when I laid back down...
You're not crazy...you will always worry...comes with being a mom!
I too have a great sleeper, but feel like I don't get to enjoy it, since I am up multiple times in the night with this terrible fear that I am going to find my DD not breathing in her crib. I also have anxiety about other issues and since Aleyah was born it has been much worse. So, I have started taking Zoloft and doing some counseling to help me deal with my anxiety as I do not want my fears ...
I wake up and check on my LO as well... I have always been a "worrywart" but now that I have a LO its ten times worse.. I really can't offer advice but I can say that your not alone!
I have alot of the same anxiety issues you do but I think it's normal to worry about your LO so much. I've looked into buying an Angelcare Monitor but we can't afford one right now but I think having one of these would help my anxiety and maybe it's something you might look into.

The thing about this monitor is that ...
I do the same thing all the time! I am always waking up thinking that Lucas is wrapped in the sheets and has suffocated. It's truly terrible! It takes a long time to wake up enough to realize that it isn't real. Lucas has never co-slept with us, either. I realized that my body is so used to waking up multiple times a night, that now that Lucas no longer gets up, I still do! I recently ...
i too was having trouble sleeping and staying asleep. if your comfortable with using sleep aids - see what they will do for you. They will not - well at least for me, impede the ability to wakeup if there's a noise (i also sleep with one ear plug in -because any noise - cat moving, dh snoring) will keep me awake.
its your comfort level... and i typically only take 1/2 a pill - it helps to ...
My sons makes noises as he tosses and turns during the night, too. I finally moved the monitor to my husband's side so he can tell me if we need to check or if it's just the baby moving. I sleep much better now. Don't worry, I've done the same thing you're doing, too. Just know that as they develop their muscles in the back and neck they're reducing their risk of SIDS. Once they roll back ...
I did this too! I posted about it probably a couple of months ago. I used to do it every single night, but talking about it and recognizing that I was being crazy for some reason helped reduce how often it happens. I do still wake up in the middle of the night and go in and check on DD (I'd say I average once/night now), and I occasionally wake up and try to find her wrapped in the blankets in ...
