Thread: I'm all Windows 7'd up

..and it's good. I had Vista on my laptop and always defended it as I had never any problems (I must have been one of the lucky ones ). But now, running 7 it just shows how fat and heavy Vista was. 7 runs so much smoother and faster than Vista, and with the new taskbar is a nice little addition. So big for W7, and a for Vista.

I'm still learning the tricks, this [ ^ ] site has quite a few. 64 bits means some complications but worth it for the long haul. Hitting the windows key then typing in the first few characters of the programme I want is neat.

i like Vista just fine. but even that was just an incremental change over XP. Windows hasn't had a really significant UI change in 15 years (and that's fine!).

But what else does the average person see these days in new versions of an OS? Changes are either 1. New features that aren't explained well and hence aren't used and discussed 2. Fundamental improvements to the core OS that are effectively invisible to the user 3. Eye candy

Same thing here. I was actually very happy with Vista, but got a free copy of Weven and installed it on the home machine.

i like Vista just fine. but even that was just an incremental change over XP. Windows hasn't had a really significant UI change in 15 years (and that's fine!).
