Thread: I'm Glad that CC and the NY Media WANT Lebron in NY
Started 1 month ago by ILSenator4Hire
But does CC realize Lebron would play for the Knicks and not the Yanks? And does the Media realize that $$ doesn't matter (even with endorsements) if you're in NBA's version of purgatory? How would his situation improve going from Cavs to NY? They wouldn't be contenders overnight with this squad or if they were lucky enough to get other max players to come to NY for less. My guess is ...
Sign-And-Trade Still Possible For Lee Aug 30, 2009 8:39 AM EST There are a number of sign-and-trade possibilities still out there for David Lee. Alan Hahn of Newsday reported overnight that there "are a couple of sign-and-trades still being considered before a one-year deal is negotiated." New York general manager Donnie Walsh is seriously considering a pair of reasonable trades involving...
I wonder what the possibilities are. The article discussed Portland and Utah as possibilities. I would say no to Utah. Boozer can be had next summer. Portland... only yes if Rudy F. was involved in the trade. If the Knicks end up giving him a one year contract (for 8 million) then it will be hard to trade him without giving him an extension. Maybe a one year contract and then if Curry/...
The only holding out on David Lee's mind right now is mainly the hope that his contract status will be resolved fairly soon. In fact we're hearing through a source tonight that there are "are a couple of sign-and-trades still being considered before a one-year deal is negotiated." We can't tell you what these deals are because it is sensitive information that, if it were to go public would ...
So if the Knicks eventually waived Mobley to make his retirement official, they could be saving about $15M-to-$18M in real money, depending on what happens with Lee and Robinson. Say what you want about the filthy rich team, which is rated by Forbes as the league's most valuable franchise, that's a large amount of money to keep in the checkbook. So now it's clear that Mobley's contract is ...
So far, the Blazers have been reluctant to include Fernandez and, after signing Miller, are more likely to want to involve Steve Blake ($4.9M) and Travis Outlaw ($4M). This works for Lee because it's around the type of salary range he's looking for ($9M) and it works for the Knicks' 2010 plan because both contracts are expiring deals. The Blazers should know that Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw...
I disagree, Portland had lots of interest in Lee. Was Lee their number one target? No, Hedo was. It had more to do with giving him a an affordable contract that they were willing to pay him and that the Knicks wouldn't match. Lee made it clear he wasn't signing for $8 mil a year (that Milsap recieved) and that he was sticking to his guns and wanted $10 mil. Which Portland ...
Kukoc is the best foreign player in the NBA of all time Hakeem Olajuwan? Dirk? Yoa Ming? Nash? Tony Parker? Petro? Kukoc was a good player, very good. But not on the level of Dirk. Gallo, I dont see a easy comparison yet and his game is just developing now, so we'll see. Ya beat me on that one KN.. There is a first for everything! Hows it going?
Wow. There are some plain insults to Gallo on here. KVH? KVH was a excellent college player and had a good few years, but he really isn't similar to Gallo other than being white and a good shooter. Gallo has great court awareness, confidence, passing ability, and dribbling skills. He obviously needs to build his body up beacuse he is not a good rebounder or defender at this point. If he does, ...
What kinda stuff is that? Making a whole thread about this then disappearing and passing off the responsibility to LAD? Pull something like that again and we will vote you off the Knicks island. Lmao, that was very funny.
In memory of knickerbockeryo. Hope that cat is doing all right. I hope he is ok as well. The last time he posted he supposedly was headed for surgery to remove a brain tumor. He hasn't been back since and that seems like it was ages ago. Unless he was lying the prognosis was not very good at all from what I remember. Has anyone here heard anything from him? Wow, never heard that at all. My thoughts and prayers go out...

And thats my only gripe with taking Hill. I had the same issue last year with Gallo and that worked out fine for them so far. I think its very risky to take a real raw guy when your team is not nearly set up. Like the post says above me, I can see the Lakers making a selection like Hill because if it takes him 2-4 years to be ready they will be ok. Either way I feel Hill will end up being a nice player. I like what little I have seen of him so...
I would do: Nate for Sessions Nate for Farmar Nate for Crittenton Nate for Mr. Irellevant Nate for Tiger Woods mistress. That is funny. I went to school with one of Tiger's mistresses. Veronica Siwik aka Joslyn James. She is actually a New Yorker so I would trade Nate for her.
Keep in mind also that this team doesn't have one player that drives the lane and kicks the ball out to him because the Knicks have a lot of selfish player. I said it from game 1 of this season. If Lebron is on this team, Gallo torches teams for 25-30 a night easy. The rest of his game is starting to improve as was mentioned. I only wish Hill could play and they would deal Lee for a 1st rounder. Lebron and Gallo would be...
