Thread: If only one film gets dual Supporting Actress nominations....

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by guany
... what film will that be? ATM, I'd say Nine , but I guess it could happen with Up in the Air as well. Farmiga is kind of due in some respects. I don't think it will be Precious . And I didn't ask this in the Supporting Actress thread because I wanted to do a poll. Not to mention that thread keeps on getting off-topic....

Up in the Air, without question. Both Farmiga and Kendrick were great, but I'd give the upper edge to Farmiga for her last scene.

I'd say UITA too, because the buzz began immediately for both of them. It's not sudden that Farmiga and Kendrick are high in the running for BSA.

01. Nine : Cruz and Dench 02. Up in the Air : Kendrick and Farmiga 03. Precious : Mo'Nique and Carey

Up in the Air, because both have received really strong notice, and both apparently have very different roles, meaning the competition between them is not as much of a problem.

1. Nine: Cruz and Dench 2. UITA: Kendrick and Farmiga But really Nine.

Nine maybe... Cruz and Cotillard.

I feel like Lovely Bones should be on here if Patton and *other combination from Nine * gets mention. But I voted UitA
