Thread: Idle issues?

My father has a 02 Tundra v6. We just had a mechanic friend of ours do a full service on the timing belt, all other belts, and water pump. Once he finished it up, we started it and all was fine. The next day, we cranked it up and it was idleing very high. It is to the point where it doesn't even want to shift, it just grinds (manual). It'll literally run away with itself. The mechanic ...

Could be the IAC valve or a misplaced vacuum line?

It would be helpful to know what he unplugged and what code it is throwing.

Take a piccie of the right side of the engine and post it up. Can't see through this dang monitor to look at it...

Did your mechanic friend clean out the throttle body with the service? Sometimes they don't react well to...
