I feel like every city should have a theater that plays a classic movie one showing a week. It is an awesome idea, and it can be quite profitable if they use the theater to show it on a lesser weekday night when people don't usually come out to the theater in masses.

move to New York that kind of stuff happens all the time there ****ing midwest This. I live in nyc and there's a few theaters that play old movies on a big screen. I go to one called sunshine cinema. It's an independent theater but every friday/saturday they play old movies and cult classics. They've played Lawrence of Arabia before I think but I didn't get a chance to go. They're playing ...

Sunshine cinema is awesome. I don't think I can go for A Clockwork Orange, though. : /

I love the AFI Silver in Maryland. I saw Fear and Loathing, Clerks, and Evil Dead 2 on the big screen.

From: LaManoNeraII | Posted: 9/23/2009 12:58:16 PM | #014 I'm sure you'll get your chance when Scorsese remakes it and casts DiCaprio in the lead or Zack Snyder gives it the 300 treatment. It's time as a classic movie is running out. It's only a matter of time before it's hunted down and murdered... Oh god, it'd be a 2 hour slow mo cut of the scene of him riding up on the camel.

They do not allow my theatres to show Lawrence of Arabia. Peter O'Toole's eyes burns holes through the screen.
