This is off topic but my 2 year old is always healthy. At least sine getting his tubes in his ears in March. Well I can't remember if I posted this or not already but if I did, bear with me...he has been running a high fever since Wed morning. If you didn't know he had a fever you would never think anything is wrong with him. If anything, he is unusually hyper....so much for him getting extra ...

Replying to: I want to scream... I would have to agree that it sounds like the flu. Have they done any bloodwork yet? If not like the PP said, make them do a CBC. I would also ask for a scrip for Tamiflu just to be on the safe side. Has he had a flu shot or the H1N1 vaccine in the past week? If so, he probably now has the flu. Just keep an eye out on him. Make sure that you are watching ...

The swabs for H1N1 are only 40% accurate..you can get a false negative, thats why around here they stopped swabbing so much and just treated all flu symptoms as the H1N1, so 2 of my kids were swabbed and 2 were not..my smallest LO was positive and my oldest was negative and I know my oldest started the whole thing! I agree with pp- don't bother waking him up for tylenol/motrin. If it's not making him miserable, don't make yourself miserable. Just push liquids like crazy- break out the popcicles!!
