LMAO. Yeah, Lady Gaga often spouts ideology that I just can't keep up with! My feeble mind doesn't understand how "Disco Stick" is "art", as Gaga claims! If only I was on her level, maybe I'd appreciate how her *beep* outfits are an expression of her individuality and not just a desperate plea for attention!

No, I agree. People say she's attention-seeking and fame-hungry, but I think she's parodying people who are attention-seeking and fame-hungry. Her debut album is called The Fame after all. I'll hesitate to call her an 'artist' like Warhol, but I definitely think there's more to her than simply 'pop superstar'. she's nothing like Madonna :P Madonna has always bored me to tears, but regardless of the actual artistic merit of any of Gaga's songs, when I'm at a club and one of hers starts playing...everyone dances. So, *shrug* Apathy on the rise, no one cares

She definately writes some cathy pop tunes, but IMO shes not brilliant. A genius (for me anyway) is someone who has done a lot for a particular genre or for the whole of music in general. Experimental artists like Frank Zappa, John Zorn, Mike Patton etc. He must be under the effect of Lorne— and Eve, too, presum— presumally.

Clearly those who know more about her have proved me wrong however, so forget it. But I think that would make for a great pop art performance piece, faking your way outrageously into the music industry. Thats kinda what Marilyn Manson was. But then he got swallowed by his own creation and became what he was illuminating. And yeah, Lady Gaga isnt a parody unfortunately.
