I think I'm developing a man crush on Ewan McGregor... No sure if this is really relevant, but i thought I'd put up a recommendation. I am currently watching Long Way Round . It is fantastic and one of the better things I've watched on TV in a long while (it was ...

******spoiler warning******* I read the book, which I thought was quite interesting, but not for the reason it was intended. I found the story an intersting study of a person (Ewan McGregor, and also his buddy Charlie) who's totally uneducated about the places he travelled in. He was just a spoiled kid, who liked the dust from under the wheels of his shiny BMW. Everything else was taken care ...

i suspected such an ending, so no worries there - what's interesting about driving on well paved roads? I think I've appreciated the honesty in the edit of the show. There hasn't been too much worry of what's PC (politically correct). I spose it's "incorrect" to say "they", but it would probably come out of my mouth too in such a situation

His buddy "Charlie" drove me from watching the entire series. He always tried to make everything they did sound life threatening or like they were some groundbreaking adventurers on a trip where no man had ever gone. I would have left him on the side of the road day 2.

A Life Less Ordinary - haven't seen that. Could he get any better than Spud in Trainspotting?

I read the book too and found it rather disappointing. In particular because Ewan McGregor, who I was always rather fond of was such a whiny git. I mean he complained and whinged about everything. I was also hoping for a bit more about the countries they visited and a bit less about their bikes but I guess that was expecting too much. I imagine the show would be better. Ewan seems to be more ...

Bloody hell that turns me off reading the book because Ewan came across whiner and whiner as the series progressed to full blown tantrums when he demanded to be alone. Charlie was the only saving grace of the series - he was funny. Apparently he gets even whiner in "The long way down", add to that - Ewan's talentless wife demanded to be in it too & after some foot stomping he/she got their ...

Ewan McGregor seems to be the kind of actor who accepts the worse roles the older he gets. He's got a talent and he'd need a better manager. What was the title of the film where he was on a barge, had a girlfirend, but also screwed the wife of the guy who was on the barge?
