Hydro locked my motor massive flooding this afternoon in Panama City... worse than I had imagined or I wouldn't have tried to cross the street Here is the damage: Its bad... need a new motor. She died with only 87,000 KMS on her. And this was after so much work to keep her going for years to come (Bushings, arms, cooling system, regulators, brakes, completely...

why import area? Flame me if you want, but I've had a lexus and an infinit... and repair bills aside, the bimmer is a much nicer car to drive. They're all still nissans, and toyotas, just some cushier seats

This is true for any car. Good reminder for people who try to beat a flood. It is worse when the Air Intake sits too low. This is why the Range Rover 4x4 has Air Intake sitting very high.

same thing happned to my car, i was on a road by my house and it was raining soo hard you couldn't see, it was a back road so i had nowhere to stop where i wouldn't be in danger of someone hitting me and I was also almost at my destination, i came around the corner and it just looked like rain hitting the road but it happned to be ALLOT of water. Long story short insurance company let my dealer...

This thread makes me wonder if we disconnect the Air Intake just at the place labeled "Cut this Clamp", this would raise the point of Intake higher, reducing the risk of Hydro Lock???
