I think Vista, in its present state, is not as bad as its current reputation.

Have you installed all the appropriate drivers for your video card, etc.? That could be causing some choppiness and interaction issues. I just made the switch last night and everything is smooth as silk. Boot times aren't 15 seconds, but they're not horrible either.

I'm not sure when you guys are counting 15 seconds from, but mine also boots slightly faster in Windows 7 than Vista, also runs just a bit smoother. Didn't install it at stock clock though...

It's not that I dont/wont like Windows 7 or any other version of Windows .. I just think that there is way too much uncertainty and suffering surrounding most M$ releases. I'm happy that my system with Vista is working the way I want it .. I have no interest in scrubbing it all and install .. fix .. customize anymore. Heck .. my Win7 RTM is sitting on my HDD as an ISO .. haven't even bothered with burning it onto media.
