#4 Fitting http://www.unpublishedarticles.com/stories/windows ontheworld.html I remember scouting that restaurant in 1978 as the site for a donors meeting for the North Carolina Symphony, that was the day I watched some guy at the park across the street stamp out " F uck You Pigs" in the snow. It was actually pretty funny seeing it develop over the hour I was at the restaurant.

For me, the WTC and the Twin Towers in particular were just always part of the City's skyline which, whenever I was in Manhattan, I really took for granted until 9/11.   Small anecdote: I personally don't know anyone who lost their life in the attack, but it was a terrible 24 hours for me and the ex. When I was studying in England I became close friends with a couple, Mikael and Lyn (he a ...

about a month or so before, her office had been moved to another part of town. Lucky people. I'm sure they feel blessed to be alive to tell the tale.

Lower East Side at 2nd and 4th street When I lived in NYC at 2nd Ave and E. 18th street, 4th was nothing but junkies. Pretty much that entire area south of 14th has been gentrified. A buddy of mine was so impacted by the Cantor Fitzgerald situation he volunteered and worked with the families of victims.

I just hope today doesnt turn into a sad depressing dark day. Now I'm not being cold. It's been 8 yrs now. It's good to remember. But it's also time to try to move on. Celebrate the lives. Not the deaths.
