Started 5 months ago by Virgil

I tell him we have it posted and he isn't allowed to be in there. He then tries to convince me that he has written permission from him to hunt there anytime he wants when I know for a 100% fact that he...

There are some hunters that have been coming to our county to hunt for years and competion hunting was the beginning of this...

Trespassing will be the final nail in our coffin that will eventually end all free casting. I am not taking about the cases that a dog gets off property he has permission to hunt, but I am talking about the poachers who just plainly go where ever they wish and don't care. Yes, that is right those kind of hunters are not coon hunters they are poachers!

quote: Originally posted by treberta Ill tell you what I do. If I see a nice 300 acre woods I will get permission off the guy next to it that owns 20 or 30 acres, then I hunt it all. This works really good for me. I have only been shot at once lol by mistake. When you say you hunt it all, do you mean the 20/30 acres you have permission or the 300 acres your trespassing on? It's one thing to hunt the 20/30 acres you have permission to...

quote: Originally posted by treberta I think every state should revoke hunting and fishing privelages if you are caught trespassing for the sake of hunting or fishing. If you had youre way 91% of people wouldn't be allowed to hunt. Most of my hunting is patch hunting. When it comes to coon hunting you CAN'T please everyone plain and simple. John you hit the nail on the head. So 91% of hunters trespass for the sake of hunting land...

If someone was tearing something up, I sure would but otherwise I feel like as much other property as I hunt on, I don't have much business making my own, off limits. AMEN Another sure fire way to get under my skin is for someone to get permission from someone to hunt and then patrol it...

I just got permission again today for the 7th yr. from a 70 yr. old man that tells me about all the coon getting in his barn. Made 3 trees in about 20 minutes. Hope he lives to be a hundred. Got permission from a neighbor of his today but always need to go tell another neighbor if the dogs get on his land I will leash them up and get out of there. He would shoot a dog. A couple scrap cars that coon live under are worth a million bucks I guess.
