So, here's the deal....I've got about a thousand bucks to invest right now....I already own 3k sh. of SIRI and I'm thinking of buying more but I can't make my mind up. I'm not in love with the company but I see potential down the road...WAY down the road. Any suggestions out there or perhaps an alternative investment strategy? I'm about ten yrs from retirement and 5 yrs from wanting to.....

If you are that close to retirement I would stay away from this one. I have 2K shares in Siri but I am only 26 years old and just like you I do say potential but this is the speculative part of my portfolio. You don't want to risk losing your money. Pick something that pays a dividend. SIRI is dead. They can't pay their debit, but worse, their product isn't that popular. Honda offers a hook-up for Ipods with all new cars, while space radio costs extra. Their product has passed its prime.
