So, here's the deal....I've got about a thousand bucks to invest right now....I already own 3k sh. of SIRI and I'm thinking of buying more but I can't make my mind up. I'm not in love with the company but I see potential down the road...WAY down the road. Any suggestions out there or perhaps an alternative investment strategy? I'm about ten yrs from retirement and 5 yrs from wanting ...

If you are that close to retirement I would stay away from this one. I have 2K shares in Siri but I am only 26 years old and just like you I do say potential but this is the speculative part of my portfolio. You don't want to risk losing your money. This company is either going to make it big or go bankrupt in my humble opinion. Look at PEP they have a great dividend and are a solid ...

Pick something that pays a dividend. SIRI is dead. They can't pay their debit, but worse, their product isn't that popular. Honda offers a hook-up for Ipods with all new cars, while space radio costs extra. Their product has passed its prime.

HandsGrue, SIRI is far from dead. Yes, servicing their debt is a concern, and they have a lot of risk for the investor. You are dead wrong questioning the popularity of satellite radio, however. Compare their subscriptions to that of something like Dish Networks or any comparable satellite TV service. Everyone listens to something in the car. iPods are not a threat to their ...

I have not listened to regular radio in almost 5 years, Sat Rad is alive and well. And hopefully will thrive and prosper along with many other forms of entertainment. James
