Lizzie blew me away with her singing! I was like WOW!!! "I'm not going there to die, I'm going to find out if I'm really alive." ~Spike Spiegel

LOL, I know right? It reminds me of that episode of The Proud Family where Penny did Romeo and Juliet with that Asian guy Kwok (I think that was his name). At the end I remember they did their own modern rap of it... haha good times. Some secrets need to be kept, Some stories should never be told...

It was all too familiar for me too. I read a book in high school called Romiette and Julio by Sharon Draper about an affleunt black girl and a wrong side of the tracks latino boy. That's all I thought of through the whole episode. The "urban" Romeo and Juliette. I thought maybe there was an actual play made from the book, hehe.

and where the fhck did they get "Antonio" from "Romeo"? Is it because andrew's mexican? i can see julie from juliet...but antonio? why not Robert or something? Team Bronson's Titties/Quilson's glasses/Kiowa's big mac/Epic Fail/DontMessWithTheStache

I met Sharon Draper! She came to my school! "I'm not going there to die, I'm going to find out if I'm really alive." ~Spike Spiegel

Really? How was she? I got some questions for her...lol, just kidding. I don't recall getting a visit from an author in high school. I would have loved to meet her then though.

she was really cool and really nice. i gave her one of the short stoeies i wrote and she sent me letter telling me how she liked it. i still have. "I'm not going there to die, I'm going to find out if I'm really alive." ~Spike Spiegel

Oh my goodness! That's cool. I write too, well more so in high school but I get a little in every now and again. Lucky you, I'm glad for you.

I remember that book. I read it HS. Now that I think of it, they were similar, and I bet the producers probably take the idea LOL !!

I know! That's what I thought too. hehe. Glad to see a couple other people remember the book. I was in Barnes and Noble one day and I heard these two girls joking about it. I was happy to see it on display but I was all like, hey I read that book! Forget you. In my mind of course.
