Thread: How do you pack items for shipping?

Started 9 months, 1 week ago by handbagcave
Well, I am literally new to ebay but not to selling in other venues. I pack my bags in a white box, depending on the bag's size (I definitely don't want to squeeze them and cover them with colorful gift tissue paper. I usually wrapped a string of printed ribbon and add a thank you note and a few business cards. Also I include a cute paper clip to attach the note

Oh I forgot the fun part, lol. I put stickers with my shop's name on top of the box and red polka dots stickers. It looks pretty cute!

Maeve: One of the new things at the post office is a VHS size flat rate box for the same as the flat rate envelope $4.95. 5 or so CDs or DVDS fit really nice. Just shipped some vitamins in them today. Little tight, but nice box from recycled material. Of course the idiots at ebay are putting limits well under that for shipping. From the last change at the post office and they didn't ...

It decides what kind of product you are selling. We are now selling some electronic products. For larger quantity orders or some big parcels, all of them are packaged well with bubble wraps around with the products and in outer side is new materials paper carton. For some small accessories, we package the goods in envelope with bubble wraps inside. It can keep the products safe ...

I live in Okinawa, Japan plus being a former Marine and using the military postal system most of my I may be able to help. First the terms APO AP or AE and FPO are used on military addresses to ensure that these items stay out of the international mail channel. As most know, shipping USPS, UPS, FedEx to areas outside of the U.S. is expensive. In addition, this for the most part allows mail and ...

You'd better make the address clearly each time you make purchase. And try to keep the address in the order same with the address in paypal. In this way, It will be more convenient for you and seller to avoid some troubles.

> x5000, use carrier pickup, or charge an extra $12.50 instead of $20 and do an on demand pickup. I use daily carrier pickup and all it means is having customs forms & the packet which you can order free online. If you use a shipping program it even prints the form and all you have to do is cut it out and put it into the envelope - this is not difficult. The shipping is the same as any US ...

I ship to APO also and if it is to someone in Iraq or Afghanistan I discount the shipping to zero. It is a privelage.

DEVIL... You may not care if the postage cost on your items is way lower than the S&H that you paid the seller. But...many buyers DO CARE. They care a lot. And they feel cheated if there is too big a diffrence. And, if they feel cheated, they may well leave Ebay. I would rather that sellers who did this were not on Ebay. Because I want as many buyers as possible to shop here.

You have two choices, pay it or don't pay it. Seller has two choices, re-invoice and ship or don't ship. I would go ahead and pay the extra $5. Wouldn't want to give any seller a reason to get cheap on packaging supplies with my $800 item. For $30 the watch had better show up next day Express. If it arrives without signature confirmation I'd be sure to get my $5 back.

PP postage label question

Does anyone have any experience with what kind...

Questions about UPS insurance
Published (2009-12-14 16:02:00)
UPS seems to be getting a lot of complaints lately. I only ship FedEx and they are always good about paying claims. Small ones they seem to pay fast without questions. Afraid if the outside out your box was not noted as damaged by the driver you'll be out of luck with UPS.

In the fine print, UPS does say that breakables, fine art and antiques may not be covered. Most of the time, "inadequate packaging" is the excuse, but the nature of an item also may dictate "no coverage" unless the shipping carton is truly mashed. If you are selling disparate items packed in a single box, each one itemized as to value, you could put in a partial claim. In this case, the undamaged items would not be...

I NEED HELP WITH SHIPPING LABELS
Published (2009-12-12 14:22:00)
When you go to print a label on PayPal, right under your return address is a box for the Mailing ZIP Code. That's what the Postmaster is referring to. Just enter the correct ZIP Code in that box, and print. The proper Post Office will get credit for the package.
