Get thee to a physio for their opinion. I had something similiar, pain in the butt plus sometime pain in the thigh or behind the knee, the exact site of pain kept moving. Problem was that some of the facet joints in the lower back were out of alignment, resulting in a pelvic imbalance and putting strain on the sciatic nerve which runs from the lower back, through the butt and down the leg.
