Thread: I got a pain in my butt cheek and need abit of help

Started 3 weeks, 2 days ago by runnerman
Now when I`m out running, I get a strain in my right butt cheek. It feels sore and goes downwards. I will show you a picture as a demonstration Now as you will see, its under the right butt cheek. I can feel this when I`m running and if there`s anyone who could suggest remedies, exercises which would help I would be extremely grateful.

Right, had a research. Piriformis syndrome it is. Need to do some stretching. That will be painful. Massage. I`ll get my secretary to give me a hand. Avoid running, cycling and rowing. Damn, those are my main three. Going to give this a try. But in the meantime if any of you have pictures of stretching exercises which might help, please do.

Get thee to a physio for their opinion. I had something similiar, pain in the butt plus sometime pain in the thigh or behind the knee, the exact site of pain kept moving. Problem was that some of the facet joints in the lower back were out of alignment, resulting in a pelvic imbalance and putting strain on the sciatic nerve which runs from the lower back, through the butt and down the leg. To...

I eventually got it checked out and was referred to a Spinal surgeon who after a MRI Scan diagnosed a prolapsed disc. I underwent facet joint and nerve block ending injections last June, this has seemed to cure or ease the problem and I've managed to train and run for 2 ...
