Thread: I could not believe him!!

I think this is a completely normal and ligitimate fear for the service member and for the spouse. You would have to be a pretty special person not to entertain the idea once or twice that he may do the same to you. It really sounds like both of you took this very personal and with great reason. I feel like this is one of those situations where you cross that bridge when you get to it and any conversation before hand is just a huge fight...

My husband is Army...and this has come up as a concern of his as well, although he didn't express it in quite the same way. We have a great relationship, he's been my best friend for over three years now, and I find that this helps with communication. We just know how to talk to eachother without being offensive.

That's not funny and personally- i'd want to kick his @$$, but mine knows that all too well. His first wife cleaned him out and ran up all sorts of debt when he was in Iraq 3 years ago.
