Thread: I confess, I'm a lurker :)

Started 2 months ago by weeji78
Hello Ladies, Yes, I'm a lurker! I've been following all kinds of boards for months now, and I think it's finally time to join -- this board seems as good as any, right? Actually, from what I've read, it seems like just the right atmosphere around here for me! I think my DH will appreciate a bit of a repreive from having to talk the TTC talk with me constantly (and I'll appreciate ...

Welcome Weeji....the girls here are great and know alot! I hope your stay is nice and sweet. I hope the Clomid works for you before the 6th month. You could also try the Instead Cup with your Clomid. I've read a few stories on here where women have used that! Good LUCK!

This is a GREAT board - and I'm so glad you joined us!!! 1st - I'm so glad your HSG and your Dh's s/a are great!!!! I'm very sorry for your m/c. 2nd - has your Dr. talked to you about putting you on metformin for your pcos? lastly - do you get U/S with your clomid to see how many follicles you are getting and how your lining is? The reason I ask is more for the lining. ...

Hi girls! Nice to hear back so soon I haven't seen my doctor at all since he prescribed clomid 5 months ago. I haven't had any follow-up whatsoever, and this only started to seem odd to me after I started to read posts on message boards like this one. He gave me the impression that clomid would give me the push that I needed to O (which it did), and then things would continue normally from...

Welcome to the board!! This is a great group of ladies! I am sorry for the trouble you are going through. I have been TTC since June '07 with a m/c in Feb '08. We have been going to an RE but have not tried anything through him. I am going to make an appt, because we are going to try for IVF this summer. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. If you can get into an RE, that ...

Hi and welcome to the board!!! These ladies ROCK!!!! To give you a little update on me DH and I have been TTC#1 since Jan '08. We have gone to see an RE and diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We have done the clomid with IUI's and now I'm in the middle of my second cycle with doing Injectibles with IUI. Tomorrow we are meeting with the RE to see what she thinks and ask her where she ...

Thanks ladies for the warm welcome I plan on calling my doc's office tomorrow to make an appointment, something I was putting off. I have you all to thank for being re-inspired! I've been reading other threads here and there, trying to catch up a little bit, and look forward to jumping in in the days to come Thanks again!

Weeji - I found this online - I have a good friend that TTC 13 months - She has PCOS and was put on Metformin for several months and then her Dr put her on Clomid - she did not ovulate the first month, but the second month she took clomid - she ovulated and now has a 3 mo old adorable daughter! Metformin (Glucophage) is increasingly being used to address the symptoms associated ...

Thanks Leah for the info on Metformin. Usually I do quite a bit of research online myself, but I've been crazy busy for a few days at work and haven't had a chance (other than making time to check this board, lol). I was having day 21 progesterone tests and my levels were always high (90, 99, etc.), so my doc called me at home to tell me that I did O, and that the clomid was working. So ...

Too bad AF found you Leah, I just hate her! Well, except when I know it's a bfn and am anxious to start over! My DH laughs at me becuse I'm always cursing the 'old hag,' something I never used to do. I'm on cd3, and have a level head again (this 2ww had me two steps from the loony bin!), so maybe I'm fit to be a cycle buddy again

I'm only on 50mg of clomid; I'm lucky that the lowest dose worked for me. I still hate taking it though, since I get enough SE for it to be a real pain. We also use Preseed to supplement EWCM, although we only started last month, so we'll see how it goes. I'm back on board, into cycle 5, and just going to wait it out until I can see my doc. I did look into finding an RE, but the nearest one is 3hrs away (according to what I...

WOW - yes, the clomid must be working for you 90's for progesterone??? That is very high Some things that can help your lining are 1) keep warming/heating pads on your abdomen - does it normally feel cool? (I have this) and 2) acupuncture can help - it helped me tremendously with my lining the last two cycles of clomid. How much clomid do you take? The more you take, the more effect it can have on your lining. And clomid can also make you...
