Thread: Should I go to Brugge or Paris for Christmas? Or... ++

Started 1 month ago by adjective
Should I go to Brugge or Paris for Christmas? Or... ++ My SO is going home for his sister's wedding, so I'll be alone for Christmas/New Years. I thought that I'd go and do something myself in Europe (I live in the UK) Or should I do something for New Years instead?

For how long? If your trip is longer than a few days I would definitely chose Paris (or do both).

I'm looking at 2 and 4 day trips that are offered through sta travel. I can do Brugge for £120++ for 2 days including food/transport/hostel :)

If it is just 2 days then I would say Brugge. But, if you have the extra time ++ Do the 4 day trip and go to Paris. There is so much more to do and see there.

I would say Paris. I've only ever been there in Spring/Summer. I'd love to see it at the holidays.

Brugge is magical during Christmas time :)

3rd...for the 2-day trip. I love Brugge, but 4 days is a little long to be there by yourself - r/o it is lovely, romantic and intriguing, but it is not a very large city and definitely not as "busy" as Paris. If you want to make a 4-day trip out of it, you could spend 2 days in Brugge and say, maybe, 2 days also in Gent.

Bruges is small, not much to do and too quiet.
