Thread: ITunes stops playing in Win XP

I run ITunes 8.2.6.1 on a well specked XP machine with all the latest Win updates installed. About a week ago Itunes suddenly stopped playing halfway through a song. If I choose another song it does not want to start. If I close Itunes and start again the same thing happens all over. I have re-installed Itunes, re-installed all music and re-installed XP! Same thing. Any ideas?...

I'm guessing, and anyone else who read your post would be as well, but about a week ago updates were released. It's a little late for this but since you have a backup try a restore point. Windows XP...

I run ITunes 8.2.6.1 on a well specked XP machine with all the latest Win updates installed. About a week ago Itunes suddenly stopped playing halfway through a song.
