Thread: IE not working in microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Started 1 month ago by Top
I have IE 8 w/Windows 7. Has been working fine until this morning. I did notice that the auto update did an update on windows, I did a recovery and still IE will not load. Anyone having this issue and how to correct it. What happens IE starts loading, comes up with dialog that it quit working and nothing else. Dead in the water....

What updates did you install? AFAIK, none of the updates released on 10 Nov-09 were for Win7 or IE8: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin /ms09-nov.mspx Top wrote: > I have IE 8 w/Windows 7. In addition to what PA mentioned, "comes up with dialog" doesn't tell anyone what the message said. It's important to accurately quote messages that you see. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Top wrote: > I have IE 8 w/Windows 7. Has been working fine until this morning. i sure you have some window issue not browser issue, because if the browser version old then atleast you can browse any web, but your IE is not browsing. so. try to check the operating system installation or reinstall (if needed). -- techetech .
