Thread: How to treat light asthma?

try to avoid the allergens.. thats more important than treating.

This may sound strange but take more Omega 3 oils. Best is to take fish oil. 2 tablets x 3 times a day after meals.

Stop eating mucus producing foods like milk. I find milk to be worse than chilli. Milk gives me a "wet lung" feeling. Urgh!...

i think some light exercise, like jogging/ walking can help in the long term....

my family members all have astma problem, but not serious one. The main thing to do is exercise, u must and must. My youngest sis and i are well better in sports, and so till after primary, our case become very light and for now it seems like no more symtomps anymore, just that when sick u will feel the chest tight abit. As for my elder sis, she never exercise and she is very weak ...

if u sure that it is asthma, just go to see a doctor to get asthma medication, should be the best if follow the instruction carefully

I agree about the exercise part, was hospitalized multiple times for asthma as a child. Still do get shortness of breath occasionally after extreme cardio, but nothing's happened for years now.

so sorry to you alpha_mid. As you mentioned, you're more towards a sport person, thats why ur asthma is less serious. I think its the major reason why some ppl can cope well and some weaker. Curious to know is the crocodile anus thing help?
