Postal workers across the UK are striking. How can the dispute be resolved? The strike follows a row about pay, conditions and Royal Mail's modernisation plans. The CWU criticised Royal Mail bosses and Business Secretary Lord Mandelson for not getting involved in talks to end the dispute. While Royal Mail said the strikes were "wholly unjustified". it's not affecting me so far, I had some parcels delivered earlier in the week and have nothing important on it's way now

I have long given up relying on the shoddy service provided by Royal Mail. They have a nerve striking.

Workwise we've been snowed under for the last couple of days but other than that it hasn't affected me personally. I hear there are three more days strike next week.

They haven't yet but they might soon. Most things I've won on Ebay have arrived. However I'm unwilling to sell anything because it might get lost in the fast growing backlog of post. Also, it may be e-cards instead of posted Christmas cards this year for friends not living locally. I can only see the postal strikes situation and its effects getting worse in the run-up to Christmas instead...

It is an utterly selfish act to withhold post especially at xmas. I've been bombarded with courier offers
