I wasn't aware he is involved in a sect/cult. You may be thinking of Tom Cruise, who is a Scientologist. Tom Hanks is either THE owner or a part owner of Playtone Productions. They have been involved in producing some very high quality films.

PBS is airing another movie about Darwin, starring Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond on LOST). It will be on the evening of October 6th. It's called "Darwin's Darkest Hour".

if this producer thinks a film like this is too controversial, he/she's is the embarassment... not the USA this is a joke

But how to explain why no distributor has picked it up to show here? I guess it doesn't have enough car chases or half-naked girls, eh? Thanks for posting that link, mtj. The movie does sound really good.

I've always been fascinated by Darwin. He was truly a man way ahead of his time. I'm looking forward to the PBS show, and hoping that someone picks up "Creation". Maybe I should email Tom Hanks.

Dawkins has just put out a book discussing evolution and all the proof that goes along with it. I haven't read it yet but I have it on hold at the library.
