First of all, I love zombiemovies and therefore I loved the first part. It was exciting, but most important, IT COULD BE REAL.
The second part was a huge letdown. The monkeys from the first part could have written this...
How in hell is it possible for the children to get outside the safe-zone? The responsetime was hours.. I mean, wtf?? And is it possible to be more stupid then these ...
When did a zombie jump through bulletproof glass?
And its called a movie...everything can't be perfect if it was completely realistic it WOULD be a sh_tty movie
and yes this is a classic... arguably one of the best zombie movies/series to date
Name a zombie movie that competes with this please.
When xB4;the firstxB4; got infected. You dont use normal glass in a quarantined area.
And besides, this movie is totally unrealistic. For example, put all the civilians in 1 'room' with more then 4 exits and dont guard one of them. Thats just impossible. Nobody is that stupid.
But I guess you didnt see 28 days later, or even the remake of Dawn of the Dead.
What are the major flaws in ...
You obviously didnt rebel and sneak around and out of *beep* when you were a little kid. You could be surprised what little kids can do.
This movie is epic. So was the first one. There is nothing in this movie thats a big enough flaw to make it bad. Enjoy it for what it is. A blood fest. Its a damn zombie movie.
Cloverfield was suspenseful , had likeable characters and some good cinematography . Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean anyone who did is stupid .
Yes i agree. It wasnt terrible, and the opening scene is AMAZING. But the rest is a let down. Very meh. 28 days later is a million times better.
4// itchy tasty
I have to disagree with most of the people in this thread. For me, 28 Weeks Later is one my new horror favourites. I enjoy it more than 28 Days later, which I felt sort of tapered off in plot in the second half of the movie with the soldiers.
As for Cloverfield, I thought it was really bad. The acting was subpar, because they hired a bunch of unknowns or actors who are just getting started. 28...
Dawn of the Dead (1978) is one of my favourite movies. Its number 13 on my all time list, #3 on my horror list, and my most favourite zombie movie ever. I watch it every few months. But I still liked 28 Weeks later.
I just don't know why people have so many problems with accepting a new type of sci-fi mythology. Just because is bloody and violent it doesn't necessarily fall into the same category. There are dozens of gory movies but they don't get called "zombie films". Romero movies are in a category of its own, as he added his own interpretation to the myth. There's italian zombie films but they don't follow...
I just don't know why people have so many problems with accepting a new type of sci-fi mythology. I have no such problem. As much as I admire and enjoy the film, its level of innovation doesn't warrant this sort of discussion. Oh I see, if it's a human covered in blood then it must be a zombie, right? Wrong. If it's a new kind of human, one that ignores everything but mindlessly attacking "normal" humans,...
What's to like about Weeks? I can go shot by shot and show how much there is to like, but to sum up: gut-wrenching tension, awesome gruesome zombie attacks, gruesome morality attacks, amazing music, great acting, suspense-inducing camerawork, subtext about kindness being eaten alive by malice. Dude, you really are stretching it here. I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but in case you aren't... please. Go see a doctor.
"The same goes for you. Just because you didn't like this movie "doesn't mean anyone who did is stupid." " I agree. How like or dislike indicates stupidity or intelligence, is beyond me and somebody who says something stupid like that is just trolling, IMO. Perhaps if the OP learned how to actually spell, it might lend some credence to their less than intelligent comments. And is it just me or are...
