While I was at work. They took everything from my room - TV, PS3, 360, plus games and DVD's, and tossed my closet for who knows what. Looks like they were working on the downstairs when they got spooked and left, because the downstairs 360 was pulled out and they broke my airport express by pulling it out of the wall.
Fucking savages. The cops are on their way, but I'm sure there's not ...
Fuckers broke into my house a few years ago. Actually broke the door leading into the garage in half in order to get in.
It's a shitty feeling, no doubt.
Fuck that really sucks. Sorry that had to happen to you Tarantino. I should probably get some security in my home since I dont live in the safest neighborhood.
damn, that sucks.
hope you have insurance right? make sure to document everything with the cops.
btw, cops won't do much other than take a report, but it'll be very useful for insurance purposes.
i'd suggest you do not repurchase anything except the bare necessities at this time, cuz they might make a revisit.
First off, I am very sorry for your losses and inconvenience. I have been a burglary victim twice and empathize.

You are correct. They will do very little and accomplish almost nothing. I ...
It does indeed suck. I started a thread a couple of years back when it happened to me twice. I still suspect it was just bored neighborhood kids, based on what was taken...iPods, digital cameras, a select few DVDs out of over 700 ( Terminator 2 and UHF among them). They didn't bother with computers, A/V components, or video game systems (probably because I only own the "worthless" Gamecube ...
Sorry to hear about this Tarantino. That really sucks. I hope they catch them and shoot them (Hey when I hope.. I hope all the way).

Almost all locks not sold as intentionally UNBUMPABLE are at risk. There are a few very popular locks that are considered not bumpable (and nearly impossible to pick) in the sense that they are much more complicated internally. Medeco brand (newest generation) is one but can cost over $120. There are some gimmicks out there to claim you can make your lock 'unbumpable' but I doubt they work 100% all the time.
Sorry to hear about the break-in. About 21 years ago, I had my old apartment robbed - and it was by someone I knew, but couldn't prove it to the police. They too came and dusted for fingerprints, and that was about it. They also went to the guy's house who I knew that did it, but said they couldn't do anything unless they saw one of my items laying on the floor next to his feet when he opened up the front door. My apartment...

That sucks, did the cops dust for prints? I've always been curious why they do or don't. I assume your electronics added up to a fair amount, but if they didn't, I wonder if it's because they don't want to or because they know the insurance company will pay for it. I got an alarm system for my place quickly after I bought it. It hurts to lay out the cash for sensors on every window, door, etc., but it's worth it...
House got broken into today, and my girlfriend was the... House got broken into today, and my girlfriend was the only one home. Nothing got stolen and my gf is fine. Thank God!
