Thread: Horst Kwech Bio on Wikipedia

Started 4 weeks, 1 day ago by CanAmBob
I always thought that Horst Kwech deserved a biography on Wikipedia documenting all of his accomplishments. Here is a start toward a bio that still needs editing including more detail on his races in Australia. He raced for Shelby in 1969 as well as 1968 and his Center Seat Can-Am history is missing but as I said its a start. Horst Kwech - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thanks, Ed! That's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! I suppose I didn't read the results pages very throughly, because I never realized Pesci drove a T-33! I guess he had to go *somewhere* after Matra quit..<grin>

Ciao Miha ! Wow!!! Nice work! Picking up the old thread here. Seems like its been more than a year since the last post. Anyway, really great work! Let me know in case there is a way to get a high res file per PM. Any new recent work. I am representing a few artists here in the US. May be I can find some buyers for you, if you are interested. Grazie, Chris

Ooops. guess I missed the transition from the posts in 2008 to this year. Hasn't been that long at all. Is there a way you could you send me a high res file of the "Alfa_romeo_33.3-final". That would be great. Grazie, Chris

A better shot of the # 14 Daniela Testadoro: And this is how it was depicted in the 1947 Zagato brochure:

At the Revival this weekend a '6C 3000 PR' appeared. Apparently it had been in restoration for the past 20 years. The mechanic claimed it was the car that was originally crashed at Monza.

Hi Everybody, does anyone of you have photos of GTA 1300 Junior that was driven by the dutchman Hennie v.d. Vliet in Zandvoort 1971 ? The car had the number 16, and it was painted blue / white / red. Thanks and advance !

There were NO LARGE ALLEN PLUGS between sparkplug holes on a 1315*32xxx engine- that is a "750" 1300, not a later engine, and should be correct type for your automobile! Your engine should have pound-in taper aluminum plugs.

The B-Side Famous Alfa Drivers!
Published (2009-11-11 12:35:00)
So, we all know the big names in Alfa Romeo's racing history; drivers like the "Ari" brothers (Campari, Ascari, Nuvolari) , as well as the "Ini" brothers (Larini, Naninni etc.) I thought however that it would be fun and interesting to research, highlight and talk about some of the other greats that made the back-page behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo! Arguably, my knowledge of drivers-past is somewhat...

Horst Kwech Bio on Wikipedia
Published (2009-11-12 06:27:00)
Bob, A nice tribute. I had some work done by Horst on a Giulia Spider autocross car, and got to know him sufficiently to have short conversations at race tracks. My best memory is a Mid-Ohio Trans-Am where he was easily leading the Brock Datsun 510's and would have won had he not pressed on and broke something. His response to my query about slowing down for an easy finish was something like "Well mate, you need to show everyone...
