I heated it once as you are supposed to and I kept the remainder to use over the next couple of treatment weeks. Re: Honey and heating to kill the peroxide in SMT I would not be surprised if your hair looks shinier, and thus lighter in color. This shine will fade over time. For me, honey did not ever lighten my or DH's hair no matter what I did to it. When I lefft samples of our hair soaking in a non heated SMT mixture for three days, the samples seemed to have changed color because they were so shiny compared to the control samples. I saved all...
