Thread: Holster choice for XD 9 subcompact

Started 10 months, 2 weeks ago by Carvalday
I have a fobus paddle but would prefer a good leather that performs better and prints less. The method of attachment is not as critical as the performance to me. Any ideas anyone?

Here's a website I found helpful in finding a leather holster. I'm most likely going to pick up the Private i or Southern Comfort holster after my supertuck comes in. CCWSUPPLY.BIZ - Ross Leather Holsters made for Springfield XD 9/40 I also have the XD9sc

Have you checked Don Hume and High Noon Holsters? Have one from each place and both work well.

I'm assuming you're looking for IWB, CC? I have a Kholster which is priced right and fits nicely. Unfortunately, having that much material on me in the FL summer will not work for comfort. Right now I'm running around with a Uncle Mikes 15 IWB that I got for $11, until I decide whether to get the HIgh Noon Split Decision, or splurge for the Down Under/Closing Argument.

I have a Don Hume IWB with thumb-break and really like it. I Like the fact that it just clips down on the belt and I can take it on and off with ease.

K&D dakota defender has beat out everything Ive compared it against..easily. My XD in this holster conceals MUCH easier than my S&W snubbie in a Crossbreed Supertuck. I though the little revolvers were supposed to dissappear. The Super tuck is very comfortable though, and I got it in 3 days. I would reccomend either to anyone, but would choose the K&D for sure, if I had to.

Krammer makes fine leather. For years I bought low cost holsters and disliked tham all till I had Krammer make me one. Wish I had done so long ago.
