OK I have done a "default settings" and the channels have now sorted themselves out.....almost.
Everything seems to be fine APART from:
1. There is channel 800 called (Unknown) which has the same programme schedule as FIVE but there is no picture or sound on it.
2. Channel 27 is now called (Unknown). It has the programme schedule of ITV2+1, but I get no picture or sound.

I set default settings on my Humax before I started and also seem to have got a weird assortment.
Several channels with numbers where names should be, and I seem to have lost ITV3 & 4 - maybe they're hiding under another name?
Usual cockup I expect.

That is the channel that is seen when someone who hasn't retuned selects Five.

Indeed not.
According to the latest Mux info ITV3 is on Mux 3 and ITV 4 is on Mux D
Do you have the other channels that are on those muxes?
See info here .
Just a general note to those ...
Hi everyone,
We are also experiencing problems with our 9300 following the re-tune. We also have one channel in the 800 range - appears to be CH5. We have performed the following steps 3 times now: -
1. Press MENU
2. Select Installation
3. Enter the password
4. Select Default Setting
5. Select YES
6. Enter the password
The receiver restarts after 30 seconds or so.
We ...

Just a general note to those with tuning problems: Dont use any ' Add new channels ' feature when scanning for channels. Make a complete fresh scan. If you have channel...

Hi Everyone, Unfortunately our little Hummy 9300 is still having problems following the 30th re-tune. This morning it was still recording a 2 hr film...from last night Have been in touch with Humax support who basically just told us to do the manual re-tune, but gave us the Mux numbers for the Hannington transmitter, the last time there was a re-tune (earlier this year??) they gave us Rowridge - that fixed the problems then but hasn't...

Number 5 channel became E4+1 and ITV3 and 4 gone. Which worked for me, suggested on Hummy.org, was to delete all channels...
This is anouying for me as well. My itv 3 and 4 are still there but just black screens, to watch then they are hiding away on 801 and 802. Is it time to upgrade my box i wonder or do i need to wait for the HD boxes or will this play HD. Their not making that clear in freeview land.
Regarding the Humax PVR problems after the latest freeview retune. The following info is from the Humax forums: "Current thinking is that a Default Settings followed by a Manual Scan (Cancel the Automatic, immediately) is better for this particular retune. Might be worth doing rather than Deleting, scanning, not working, and having to do a Default anyway." It does work doing it this way.
I deleted all programs and did a manual retune. It seems to have worked and all my programs are now in the right places. I had to recreate my favourites list though.
