Hi all, Well just went to move the car from one side of the garage to the other and found an oil leak from the front of the car under on passenger side front . I beleave its from the oil cooler, Oh let me give you some insight it's a 2005 Elise early built 2004 so it has the twin oil coolers. Has anyone ever had a leak from them? Thanks for your insight....

Good call T.J, that makes sense. Now that I have looked at the photos again, the harness is not coming from an area with access to the speaker.

There is also one of those screws in the rear window channel as well which of course is covered by your window right now. These screws have a tendency to back out...
The opposite applies when the thermostat is stuck open. The car will have
one hell of a time getting to operating temperature, and you won't be able
to access the beloved second cam.

With the Elise it's a bitch.
Some of you might want to check this thread. PatrickShim, it might make sense to try bleeding the coolant system before replacing the thermostat, although that is the most likely problem. I hear it is a PITA to replace.
Engine temperature above 200?
Was in the high 90's here today and I did about a four hour drive, all with
the A/C on. My water temp never went above 194. You definitely have a
faulty thermostat or air in the system.

Maybe there's some sort of physical disconnect between the side light button and the light itself down by the end of the bulb, where the wires and bulb connect. It sounds like the water is getting in there and making the connection. Just an idea.
I get a faint chain dragging type sound when I coast (accelerate, let off gas, hear faint chain dragging sound) - been doing it since the beginning of days, so probably not the same issue. Similar sound, though.
