I'm a bit concerned about some heart symptoms i've had since starting low carb.
Not sure if it's the diet or something else. I have bouts where my head feels like it's going to explode, my vision blurrs/goes black like i'm about to pass out and my heart beats a bit wierd.
I am going to the gp but am quite concerned
For the responses. I do already have SVT - a heart arrythmia but this feels a little different.
I have to up my carbs a little and include a banana just to see if im also low on pottassium. I have been ok the last few days.
I'll go back to the cardiologist to get the ticker checked out. and my blood sugar
I had arrhythmia during induction too, turned out to be a combination of low potassium and dehydration. For me it was worse in the morning or right after a meal. I still get it occasionally now if entering deep ketosis from lowering carbs a lot. It's best to keep hydrated and avoid too much caffeine.
The GP's the best place to go for you, my dear - hopefully he will refer you to a cardiologist to get your ticker checked out.

Was thinking the same thing. My ex has hypoglycemia and those are the symptoms he suffered from frequently.
I have hypoglycemia and I have to eat every 3 to 3 1/2 hours. When doing low fat/ low cal I could go maybe 4 hours, but on LC its worse. Not that for sure thats what you have but if Doc says thats whats going on make sure you eat often enough. Also if you are a coffee drinker, coffee has an insulin raising affect and if I just have a cup and don't eat with it, I get dizzy after a half an hour. ...
I experienced some fairly serious dizzy spells and arrhthmia in the summer during a particularly hot week. Turns out I was a bit dehydrated (water, water, water) and low in potassium. I still get a bit dizzy, especially at work, if I've dropped my carb count and haven't paid enough attention to fluids. Hang in there.
