Thread: Have You Done Anything to Prepare?

Started 3 weeks, 5 days ago by hattsa
Ladies, I lost my son, Adam, on Oct. 17th at 21 weeks.  My water had broken at the end of week 17 and never re-sealed.  DH and I want to begin TTC before too long - we're thinking of waiting the 3 months our doctor suggested, although there are times we want to start trying now.  I'm wondering if any of you have been doing anything to prepare yourself for TTC and a pregnancy.  We have agreed ...

My doctor had me really juice up on vitamins.  Stay on the prenatals and make sure you are taking: calcium, omegas, B6, and extra folic acid.  The more your stores are replenished the better you are able to care for your next wee one. Also, light excersize to strengthen your body.  Yoga, walking, hiking, biking... Whatever you are able to do to help your body become stronger again.  I really...

I am so sorry for the loss of your son, Adam. We waited 4 months to TTC again this past august... we lost Kimberly at 31 weeks 4/10/09. I made it a mission to get healthy again. I went on a diet and started exercising, I do pilates, zumba (high impact aerobic latin dance), walking and free weights. I have lost 31lbs, 26 that I gained and a few extra. I would love to lose another 10lbs, ...

I had just written you a novel and somehow I accidentally closed the page before I posted it :) I'll try again... First of all, I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I know exactly how you feel. I had the exact same feelings after my lost in July. All I could think about was preparing myself to get ready to conceive again. I think we all go through that. My doctor actually ...

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost Rachel on 9-19 and started charting and temping as soon as my bleeding stopped. I also made sure I was taking my vitamins and lost some weight. Then, my OB was doing all the testing on me, and I just found out I have MTHFR and lupus anticoagulant, so I'm now educating myself on it so that when we start TTC next week, I'll be doing everything I can to have a ...

I drank Emergen-C (you can get them at Wal-mart) when TTCing with Angela and got pg in a month. Then I drank it the whole time I was pg with her. My water never broke. A midwife told me Emergen-C would make my bag big and strong and it did. My midwife had to break my water right before Angela crowned. I pushed her all the way down in her bag. It was very hard but good for her. She died from ...

I am so sorry for your loss of Adam. I did not wait but I am still not pregnant 17 cycles later. Some things that might help are: - Do something nice for yourself. -try to lose some weight now. -Stay on your prenatals and anything else your Dr recommends - Grieve. silly to write this but make sure you allow yourself to fully feel the loss. -reconnect with your spouse, ...
