http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=23438 Not sure what you guys think, but if he were to beat Pacman today, that means he is 100% and no remaining effects from the Margarito fight. I think Hatton's life could be in jeopardy if he stepped into the ring with Cotto, he is too big, too strong and hits too hard. What do you guys think?
A couple of years ago, when both were at 140 this could've been a great fight. Now, Hatton wouldn't stand a chance. I doubt the fight happens unless Hatton gets a win or two himself anyway.
I honestly don't think anyone would pay to see the carnage. If Hatton attempts to climb into the ring against any top 140 let alone 147 he'll get creamed. The guy has zero resistance left.

The thing is, whats the point? He totally dominated the 140 division, then won a world title at 147, then fought the 2 best fighters on the planet and lost. Anyone else is just a step down and wouldn't mean anything or be worth anything on his resume. The guy is worth probably $70 million and has nothing else to prove and it could be dangerous for him. He probably weighs over 200lbs now and ...

QUOTE(D-Gonza @ Nov 14 2009, 11:38 PM) Your probably right, I'd still like to see him go out on a win though. I don't want the last sight of Hatton in the ring being an image of him laid out like that. To tell you the truth I don't think it really matters if your last fight is a loss to the P4P best in the world. It would be far worse if he fought a nobody as his final fight and ...

always wanted to see hatton vs cotto. wanted to see it more than hatton vs floyd actually. always of the thought that hatton vs cotto should have been a semi final for floyd. shame it never come together. but the money involved means it could still happen.

QUOTE(marbury237 @ Nov 17 2009, 05:23 AM) At their best , Hatton wouldn't be a match for Cotto. Even with both guys not being at their best Cotto is still too strong and too skilled. Hatton is too undisciplined between fights and his soft midsection will break when it gets hit by Cotto's body punches. At 140 I think Hatton would have take Cotto out, but for Hatton to have been 'at his best', the fight would have...
QUOTE(watson748 @ Nov 15 2009, 08:29 AM) The way Cotto reacted to Ricardo Torres and DeMarcus Corley was bread and butter to someone like Hatton. He could have easily hit Cotto hard enough to wobble him and walk through the low blows to finish him. It wouldn't have been easy but I would certainly have given Hatton a 60/40 chance if they had met 4 - 5 years ago. yeah i know where ya coming from. such a shame it never happened....

QUOTE(watson748 @ Nov 16 2009, 09:18 PM) Hatton has been rocked by Collazo and lazcano, neither of whom are on Cotto's level. Throw in the 2 devastating KO's by FMJ and Manny including all the various knock downs leading up to the KO's and I think you could comfortably say his chin is not the same one that took everything Tszyu threw. Cotto hurt Manny several times (Manny confirmed this in the post fight presser) so I...

QUOTE(Manchester Hitman @ Nov 16 2009, 04:05 PM) I'll be hanged for this but................I wouldnt totaly dismiss Ricky's chances of beating Cotto if they where to fight after what happened to Miguel against Pac. That was a serious and total physical and mental beat down, one of which I can see no way that he can come back from (especially as he has openly said he doesnt really love boxing). Yes Ricky was koyed in 2 by...
