Thread: Has anyone ever drafted 3 WRs in the first 3 rounds?

Why not? If the best player out there is a wide-out, then scoop 'em up. I can see myself doing something like this. You can always just trade later.

I don't think that has ever happened in my leagues. It could work under unusual circumstances I guess but it would put alot of pressure on you to nail your mid-late round RB picks, like getting a CJ or Forte. It's not like elite WRs are slam dunks, I took Colston last year in the 2nd round.

In a recent league I went: Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, D bowe, McFadden, Knowshawn, Marshawn, Greg Olsen. I picked at 8 and had to make the D Bowe pick in the third just because he was best available. I think in PPR leagues the proper strategy at 8-12 should include at least 2 of the first 3 rounds with a WR. The RB pool in the 4th and 5th is pretty deep.

And won their league? I've just started a 16 team draft 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR 1 TE no flex with IDPs, and drafting in 13th position, after a ridiculous run on RBs I managed to pick up Andre Johnson in the 1st and Calvin Johnson in the 2nd round. I drafted them because I felt they were the best players on the board when I was OTC. If in the 3rd round another WR is the best player available should I take him? My instinct is to draft the best RB...
