Our 1990 hatchback died two weeks ago, and I've been trying to find a car for a decent price. One popped up on autotrader.ca, but the woman is on a Unicef mission in Spain, and is selling her 'excellent condition' car through ebay. Sorry, we determined the whole thing is a scam. They claim you are protected because though the car is being sold privately, they run the sale through ebay's VPP program. The kicker is that the protection only kicks in if you buy the car off of eBay, so there's no protection at all. If a deal is too good to be true, well...
