This is for Minerva Kitty Cat changing's a wonderful feature, And I don't mean to sound like a preacher Soft within, tough without, There just isn't a doubt that Minerva is Hogwart's best teacher.

There once was a big headed boy, Prefecting was his greatest joy This boy was called Percy, He gave them no mercy, Til he was appointed Head Boy.

grandpalovegood replied 2 months, 3 weeks ago
MK I'll admit I can't do rhymes to save my life.

fangsfan1 replied 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Here's one for Dobbys Socks-hope you look in and read it sometime. From the Malfoys came nothing but strife And the slavery cut like a knife, Harry threw him some socks For the free life that rocks In return, Dobby gave his brave life.

fangsfan1 replied 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I agree. Also if you've ever read the All Creatures Great and Small books about veterinarians, the youngest brother was called Tristan-he was my favorite character. So I've always liked that name too.

severus3666 replied 2 months, 2 weeks ago
yeah we are...i love all these ones being posted

fangsfan1 replied 2 months, 2 weeks ago
That's a good one-I'd love to listen to the Lovegood's tales myself.

rallem replied 2 months, 1 week ago
I'll work on this limmerick since I know Ron never really fainted easily There once was a wizard named Weasley When it came to spiders grew queasily Then on a gloomy night He received a terrible fright And it was known he fainted quite easily.

1skilletfan replied 2 months, 1 week ago
Umbridge was the teacher of the DADA A fine example of a horrible teacher she did portray But when Harry and Company formed the DA She didn't realize the price that she would pay.

fangsfan1 replied 2 months, 1 week ago
Hi everyone, Thanks for keeping this thread going while I was away for a few days. Lots of good limericks and poems coming in. Here's another one from me- Sev Snape taught the Potions with frog parts, But craved the position of Dark Arts, Riddle gave him his blessing And he left us all guessing, Did he have a bad or a good heart?...

rallem replied 2 months ago
There was a boy named Neville Whose spell skill was quite dismal His forgetful notion Made him fear the potions Until his granny sent a rembemberall

minerva_kitty replied 2 months ago
I "wuvs" all of these!!!

fangsfan1 replied 2 months ago
Grumpy Kreacher was well know to pocket Family treasure, in cupboards to stock it, Riddle tortured him blindly, Harry treated him kindly, And he fought bravely, wearing his locket.

rallem replied 2 months ago
There once was a girl named Ginny Who was the first female Weasley When she was sorted All the Slytherins chortled And Harry Potter grew queasily

rallem replied 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Draco was a Slytherin When you asked what house he’s in He was properly sorted As Snape Retorted Not another Malfoy again

fangsfan1 replied 1 month, 4 weeks ago
> I really liked it it 1skilletfan. I tried to see if > I could make one similar but really couldn't improve > upon it. I liked it too, especially what you said about being "stuck in the middle", true in several different ways.

fangsfan1 replied 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Very good and a little scary too!

rallem replied 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Thanks, I was actually kind of proud of that one even though I had to go fishing for that ending.

fangsfan1 replied 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Thanks Rallem and Original Mooney for lots more limericks-I especially love the line about Snape's filly! Mrs Figg said "Come visit my cats" Harry P muttered softly "Oh rats" Til the Headmaster said "She's a Squib with street cred!" Then she met with the Order for chats.

fangsfan1 replied 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Wow Rallem, I can't keep up with you! I especially like the one about Snape and Dumbledore, very true. There once was a wizard named Art Who magically got cars to start, He tried hard to juggle His passion for Muggles, And Molly, who Wobbled his heart.

rallem replied 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Fred and George they loved their pun All their energy went to fun Maybe a tongue twister Or perhaps a nougat blister Their primary goal to hurt no one.

rallem replied 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Very nice Drama Tic Queen

fangsfan1 replied 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Thanks, that's a good one

fangsfan1 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
"Oh Potter you rotter's my song I'll help ickle firsties along, I'll put mud in your food, Hide your wand in the loo Poltergeisting's the life for the strong!"

severus3666 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
ur cool too fangsfan!!! i love this thread too its lots of fun but it seems like only us 3 [skilletfan fangsfan and myself] are the only ones enjoying it lately hmmm

severus3666 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
thats great fangsfan! there was an old wizard named albus whom i don't think had many calus he was headmaster of hogwarts where there were many a boggart that great old wizard named albus

fangsfan1 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
Thanks Severus, I'm glad to see another one about Dumbledore. Hope you're feeling better. I know of a pure wizard's town Where the students all love to go round, They have owl post and candy, Zonko's Joke Shop is handy, And the Shrieking Shack won't let you down!

severus3666 replied 1 month ago
Harry and Ron were Best mates Who battled continuous fates Hermione came with with books full of myths As they hunted for horcruxes each day .....

rallem replied 1 month ago
There once was a tree which went bump If anything went near it would thump It secretly hid The shrieking shed And protected students from the dump

fangsfan1 replied 1 month ago
> There once was a tree which went bump > If anything went near it would thump > It secretly hid > The shrieking shed > And protected students from the dump Good one! I love reading anything about Hogsmeade, the shrieking shack, etc, it was one of my favorite parts of the book.

severus3666 replied 1 month ago
gr8 limerick rallem!! i love this thread!!!!!!!!

fangsfan1 replied 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Those are great Severus and Rallem! Here's kind of a silly one I made up just for fun. Some house elves would come in real handy, To bake Christmas cakes and sweet candy, They would clean my whole house, So I won't have to grouse, Just sack out on the couch and watch Andy. (Andy Griffith show or Andy my dog, either one or both )

fangsfan1 replied 4 weeks ago
That was great Rallem. Happy Thanksgiving to all the limerick writers who celebrate. And if you don't celebrate it, thank you for being one of the things I'm thankful for this year-my Harry Potter buddies.

fangsfan1 replied 3 weeks, 5 days ago
Hi everyone, I love all the new limericks, the one about the floo network is great. Muggles learn, wizards need to learn too you see, There's a room filled with love and it's history, Plus a room filled with brains, One where time turners reign, And it's called the Department of Mysteries.

fangsfan1 replied 3 weeks, 3 days ago
> The Pensieve showed memories of past > of some of them, Harry was aghast. > Then Snape gave him more > seeing them was a chore > Now Harry knew truth at last. > > Erin This was excellent, made me think of one of my favorite chapters "The Princes Tale"

rallem replied 3 weeks, 1 day ago
You need to end it rhyming with the first and second line so maybe you could say they got her out now. I like it though.

fangsfan1 replied 2 weeks, 4 days ago
I like that one, has a good rhythm to it.

fangsfan1 replied 2 weeks, 1 day ago
I thought it was a good one Rallem. There was an official named Fudge Who learned it was wise not to judge. When they said "Riddle's back" He cried "You're out of whack!" Scrimgeour's in and he works as his drudge.

fangsfan1 replied 1 week, 4 days ago
I loved both of those Rallem and Severus. I know, it's taking me longer to think of them now too. I thought I'd put some haikus in once in a while too. For me they're a little easier because you don't have to rhyme. The gameskeeper knows The importance of loving All living creatures.

fangsfan1 replied 1 week ago
Another good one from Rallem, thanks The gameskeeper had a young brother They both had the same giant mother Though the giant named Grawp Caused large tree trunks to drop, They both learned how to love one another.

fangsfan1 replied 3 months ago
There once was a student named Harry Who wanted a place he could tarry. Then the Burrow he found, Where good friendships abound, And the sisters the best one to marry! There once was a huge, hairy fella Who hid spider friends in the cella, And when he was found, It did not get him down, He just hid magic in his umbrella. Sorry guys, I was bored....

grandpalovegood replied 3 months ago
Go Fangsfan.

cardman_cards replied 3 months ago
Brilliant Lillis I was going to make this two stanzas...the second being about Ron and using rhyming words like brother and mother... potter rhymes again too and then I kept wanting to say Ron got the girl who was hotter to make it rhyme but I couldn't being myself to write that so it is only one (hey...I tried...lol) There once was a wizard named Potter Who ...

fangsfan1 replied 3 months ago
I love that one Cardman! Here's another from me- My favorite chef is named Bott Great jelly beans are what he's got He has bogey and lime, Grass, earwax and slime, Next flavor will be dragon snot!

cardman_cards replied 3 months ago
another good one Lillis. Making limericks isn't easy for me...do you have more?

fangsfan1 replied 2 months, 4 weeks ago
Thanks Severus, you gave me a laugh when I needed one! This is a limerick especially for Grandpa Lovegood. I know a young man named Longbottom, Great talents? This young man has got em! The sword he did take And then slaughtered a snake, And Herbology students?-He taught em!

grandpalovegood replied 2 months, 4 weeks ago
Oh I just love Neville! I wish I were good at making rhymes and riddles. go fangsfan and thanks.

rin68nyr replied 2 months, 4 weeks ago
These are great! It inspires me to try! Not that that means I'll be successful...but maybe tonight, after the kids are in bed.... Erin

severus3666 replied 2 months, 4 weeks ago
i only learned what limerccks were the other day from somebody...so i thought i'd try em!! and what a better place to?

rin68nyr replied 2 months, 4 weeks ago
Ah well, I'm half Irish....I know a limerick when I see one! LOL Erin

If you REALLY want to get technical, this is a limerick: 9 beats (syllables) 9 beats (syllables) 5 beats (syllables) 5 beats (syllables) 9 beats (syllables) The 9 beat lines are all supposed to rhyme with each other (the ending words). The 5 beat lines are supposed to rhyme with each other (the ending words). But don't worry if you don't follow this exaclty....they've all been fun to read! Erin

It was common knowledge that Snape hated Harry Though Potter did not know of the secret Snape did carry Snape tried to hide it But his intentions revealed themselves anyway And enabled Harry to save the day

My 'I'm Obsessed With Fred' Poem -- There is that handsome twin, Fred There are some saying he's dead. I beg to differ, though I know those who oppose My proof is quite simple, our daughter and son Triston and Scarlett Rose!

There once was a kid named Black, Who visited, with friends a shack, he had an unfortunate end, from his cousin, her own soul she did rend, and now he can't make a crack. Poor Sirius.
