Thread: Hand brake adjustment

Going in for its mot next monday.i think the hand brake travel a bit much any tips on adjusting please. thanks in advance. spudd

on the TD5 it is adjusted on the backplate of the handbrake drum. If that doesn't do the trick then the handbrake cable needs adjusting

Disco 2 adjustment etc below. I think ours is about 4 clicks by memory. Peter

Early TD5's have the adjuster for the handbrake cable underneath the tunnel, accessed from beneath the car. Haynes describes both types but RAVE only shows the later type. Cheers, Andy

Early TD5's have the adjuster for the handbrake cable underneath the tunnel, accessed from beneath the car. Haynes describes both types but RAVE only shows the later type. Cheers, Andy
