Don't remind the audience how young your character is. I made the mistake of making the protagonist in the first Memoirs only 16, so just decided to have him mature really quickly and act like a adult recruit. And now in the second book he's a 21 year old Master Sergeant. So don't have make his dialogue sound like he's a teenager.

1) I think you would need a larger scale of battles, maybe some shots of the city, etc. 2) At the end, you should have had the ODST somewhere in the midst of battle, instead of crouching behind a wall. 3) Besides those two things, pretty good.
